14-Day Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day you received your order, without giving any reason, subject to the conditions and statutory exceptions set out below.

For orders delivered in parts or in multiple shipments, the 14-day period begins on the day you receive the final product or part of the order.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us within the above period through the withdrawal form available on this page or by another clear statement of your decision.

The right of withdrawal applies to non-defective products only under the conditions provided by applicable consumer law. Customers are required to handle products with particular care during the withdrawal period and only to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality.

In particular, furniture and other products that require assembly, installation or special packaging should not be assembled, installed or used where their nature and characteristics can reasonably be inspected without doing so.

How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

Complete the form below with your order details. After submitting your request, you will receive confirmation by email.

Products must be returned without undue delay and, in any event, within 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the product is properly protected, packaged and transported during the return.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned products or until you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first, as provided by applicable law.

Once the returned product has been received, its condition, packaging, accessories, components and any signs of assembly, installation, use or damage will be inspected.

Any reduction in the value of the product resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functionality may be deducted from the refund.

The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

Strict Conditions for Products Returned Without Defect

Where a customer exercises the right of withdrawal simply because they have changed their mind and the product is not defective, damaged or incorrectly supplied, the product must be handled with particular care.

The customer should keep the product in its original packaging and avoid opening, removing, damaging or disposing of packaging, protective materials, seals, labels or internal supports unless opening the packaging is reasonably necessary in order to inspect the product.

For furniture and other bulky products, the original packaging is particularly important because these products may be difficult or impossible to repack safely once fully unpacked.

Customers are therefore strongly advised to inspect the external packaging, product information, dimensions, colour, materials and other available characteristics before proceeding with full unpacking or assembly.

Products must not be assembled, installed, drilled, screwed, fixed to walls or floors, connected, modified or used unless this is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics or functionality.

Where a product can reasonably be inspected without assembly or installation, assembly or installation will be considered handling beyond what is necessary for inspection.

Condition of Products Upon Return

Products returned following withdrawal must be in the best possible condition and must include all parts and materials originally supplied.

The returned product should include:

  • the original packaging and boxes
  • internal packaging and protective materials
  • protective films and covers, where they have not needed to be removed for reasonable inspection
  • all accessories and components
  • screws, fittings and assembly parts
  • instructions and assembly manuals
  • warranties and documentation
  • labels and product identification
  • gifts or other accompanying items supplied with the order

The product must not have unnecessary signs of use, assembly, installation, wear, scratches, stains, odours, impact damage, alterations or other damage.

The statutory right of withdrawal is not automatically lost solely because packaging has been opened, unless a specific statutory exception applies.

However, opening or destroying packaging, removing protective materials, assembling, installing or using a product may significantly reduce its value, particularly in the case of furniture or products that cannot reasonably be restored to their original packaged condition.

Where such handling goes beyond what is necessary for reasonable inspection, the customer will be responsible for the resulting reduction in value and the corresponding amount may be deducted from the refund.

Where the condition of the returned product has been substantially affected by unnecessary assembly, installation, use, damage, missing parts or destruction of packaging, the reduction in value may be significant.

Furniture, Assembly and Original Packaging

Furniture requires particular care because unpacking and assembly may materially affect its condition and resale value.

Before opening the packaging, customers should carefully verify the product description, dimensions, colour, materials and other specifications shown on the website and on the product packaging.

Where reasonable inspection is possible without fully unpacking or assembling the furniture, the customer should not proceed with full unpacking or assembly if they are considering returning the product.

Furniture should not be assembled merely for the purpose of deciding whether the customer wishes to keep it when its characteristics can reasonably be established without assembly.

If furniture has been fully unpacked, assembled, partially assembled, installed or used, we will assess whether this handling was necessary for inspection and whether it has resulted in a reduction in the product’s value.

Damage caused by assembly or disassembly, including screw marks, tool marks, damaged fittings, enlarged fixing holes, scratches, dents, broken packaging or missing protective materials, may result in a substantial reduction of the refundable amount.

The fact that a product can technically be disassembled does not necessarily mean that it can be returned to the same commercial condition in which it was originally supplied.

Return Costs

The direct cost of returning products following a withdrawal is borne by the customer, unless we have expressly agreed otherwise or applicable law provides otherwise.

For bulky or heavy products such as furniture, sofas, tables, wardrobes, beds, mattresses or similar products, return costs may be substantial due to their dimensions, weight and the need for specialised transportation.

The customer is responsible for arranging suitable and safe return transportation.

Products must be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transport. Where the original transport packaging is available, it should be used.

Any damage or reduction in value resulting from insufficient packaging or inappropriate handling during the return process may be taken into account when assessing the condition and value of the returned product.

When the Right of Withdrawal Applies to Furniture and Related Items

Subject to applicable law, the right of withdrawal generally applies to standard products that have not been manufactured or personalised specifically for the customer.

Examples may include:

  • ready-made furniture in standard dimensions
  • tables, chairs, stools and desks
  • standard-production sofas and armchairs
  • beds and bedside tables
  • chests of drawers and bookcases
  • shelves and cabinets
  • console tables and television units
  • decorative products and mirrors
  • lighting and home accessories

The existence of a right of withdrawal does not mean that the customer may freely assemble, install or use the product during the withdrawal period.

The customer remains responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product.

When the Right of Withdrawal Does Not Apply

The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply in cases excluded by applicable consumer law.

These may include, in particular:

  1. Products manufactured according to the customer’s specifications.
  2. Products that are clearly personalised.
  3. Furniture manufactured in dimensions specifically selected or requested by the customer.
  4. Furniture made using custom fabrics, colours, materials, combinations, configurations or designs selected specifically for the customer where the product is made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.
  5. Products with personal engraving, printing, names, monograms or other personalised elements.
  6. Custom-made kitchens, wardrobes, bookcases, worktops, tables or other products manufactured or modified specifically for the customer.
  7. Sealed products that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene where the seal has been removed after delivery.
  8. Goods which, after delivery and due to their nature, have become inseparably mixed with other goods.
  9. Any other category of product for which applicable consumer law expressly excludes the right of withdrawal.

Opening the packaging of a product does not by itself remove the right of withdrawal unless the product falls within one of the statutory exceptions.

However, where opening, unpacking, assembly, installation or use goes beyond what is reasonably necessary for inspection and results in diminished value, the customer will be responsible for that reduction in value.

Examples

Example 1 – Unopened furniture:
You purchase a standard table and decide that you no longer want it before opening the packaging. You notify us within the withdrawal period and return it in its unopened original packaging. Provided no statutory exception applies, the product can normally be returned without a reduction in value.

Example 2 – Opened but not assembled:
You open the packaging of a standard piece of furniture in order to reasonably inspect its material or colour and then decide not to keep it. Opening the packaging does not automatically remove your statutory right of withdrawal. However, the product, packaging and all protective materials must be handled carefully and any resulting reduction in value may be taken into account.

Example 3 – Furniture assembled:
You fully unpack and assemble a piece of furniture even though its relevant characteristics could reasonably have been inspected without full assembly. If the assembly or subsequent disassembly results in screw marks, damaged packaging, scratches, damaged components or another reduction in value, the corresponding reduction may be deducted from the refund.

Example 4 – Furniture installed or modified:
You drill, screw, cut, modify, fix or permanently install a product. Such actions normally go beyond what is necessary to inspect the product and may cause a substantial reduction in its value.

Example 5 – Custom furniture:
You order a sofa manufactured specifically in a custom size, fabric or configuration selected by you. Where the product qualifies as made to your specifications or clearly personalised under applicable law, the statutory right of withdrawal may not apply.

Example 6 – Hygiene-sealed product:
You receive a sealed product that is not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons and remove the seal after delivery. Where the statutory hygiene exception applies, the right of withdrawal does not apply after the seal has been removed.

Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products

The above conditions concern withdrawal where the customer simply changes their mind.

They do not limit the customer’s statutory rights where a product is defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not conform to the contract.

If you receive a defective, damaged or incorrect product, please contact us immediately so that the case can be assessed separately in accordance with applicable consumer law.

A defective or incorrect product must not be treated as a standard change-of-mind withdrawal where the customer is exercising statutory rights relating to lack of conformity.
